Helllander

The band formed on Thursday 2 October 2008, in the village of Ferlens (Switzerland). After the dissolution of their former band, Van Raiser (guitar) and Matt Starcase (drums) decided to put together a stronger, more powerful and more epic band, drawing inspiration from Heavy Metal! They were joined by Bryan (guitar) and Scorp (bass) to complete the line-up. The style takes shape, following Van Raiser's compositions, and the four musicians can be defined as a "Heavy Metal" band oriented toward "Power Metal", influenced by bands such as Iron Maiden, Manowar, Running Wild, Hammerfall, Dream Evil. The band takes the name "Heart of Steel"! Unable to find a singer, Van Raiser decided to take on that role himself, in addition to the guitar. They took the name Helllander in 2011.
