Hirax

The story of Hirax begins in 1981, in Buena Park, California, with the band Kaos, soon renamed L.A. Kaos due to the existence of a band with the same name. This band released a demo in 1983 before changing its name once again to K.G.B., then Hirax in 1984. In 1986, John Tabares left the band and Eric Brecht (brother of Kurt Brecht, singer of Dirty Rotten Imbeciles) was recruited. After this change, they released their second album, Hate, Fear and Power, under pressure from their label (with barely 16 minutes and 8 songs). Subsequently, the band left the label and immediately released an independent demo titled Blasted in Bangkok in 1987.
