Hurricane

Formed in 1985 by 2 members of the band Quiet Riot: Robert Sarzo and Tony Cavazo. They recruited singer Kelly Hansen, drummer Jay Schellen and guitarist Michael Guy. With the help of a small label, the band decided to release a mini-album "Take What You Want". In 86/87, Hurricane opened for Stryper on the tour of their album "To Hell with the Devil" and signed to the same label as them: Enigma Records. In 88 came the album "Over the Edge" featuring an Alice Cooper cover "I'm Eighteen" and the track "I'm On to You" which made the album's success. The track "Over the Edge" was also released as a single. In 89, Sarzo left the band and was replaced by Doug Aldrich. The album "Slave to the Thrill" came out in 1990 but did not meet the same success as its predecessor. Shortly after, Aldrich left to join House of Lords and the grunge wave finished off the rest of Hurricane.
