Impaled Nazarene

Impaled Nazarene (literally "the impaled Nazarene") is a Finnish Metal band formed in 1990. Very provocative and with often Satanist lyrics, but also sometimes relatively offbeat, the band is characterized by very violent music: less melodic than most black metal bands, but more structured and with a higher-pitched voice than the majority of Death metal bands. They characterize their music as Nuclear Metal. The cover of their album titled Ugra-Karma was censored following a lawsuit filed by the Hare Krishna sect; the album was reissued in 1998 with a new cover.
