Incubus

Opprobrium (formerly Incubus) is a death metal band originating from Louisiana in the United States, founded in 1986. When this band released its first album, the death metal style was still relatively unpopular. Among other peculiarities, Incubus played as a trio, which is rare in its style of music. 10 years after the release of its second album, the band had to change its name for its third album and became Opprobrium. Indeed, in the meantime the name Incubus had been taken up by another band (cf. Homonymy, Incubus). The German label Nuclear Blast, which had reissued the band's previous productions, allowed it to record Discerning Forces.
