Indica is a Finnish symphonic metal band. Formed in 2001 by five girls from the northern districts of Helsinki, the band was produced by Sony BMG from 2003 onwards. And by Nuclear Blast, with whom they signed in December 2009. Their first albums would be classed as rather pop rock, while Valoissa and A Way Away fall into symphonic metal. The fifth album, A Way Away, was released on 25 June 2010, with, for the first time, songs in English. On 17 September 2013, the band announced the release of its sixth album Shine on 24 January 2014. The influences are reported as rather pop-symphonic.
