Jim Steinman

Jim Steinman, born on 1 November 1947 in Claremont or New York and died on 19 April 2021, was an American composer of rock music and musicals. He wrote the greatest hits of Meat Loaf Bat Out of Hell, I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That), of Céline Dion (who covered It's all coming back to me now in 1996) and of Bonnie Tyler (Total Eclipse of the Heart, Holding Out for a Hero). He released a solo album Bad For Good in 1981 produced by Todd Rundgren. He is the composer of the music for the musical created in Vienna (Austria) in 1997: Le Bal des vampires (Tanz Der Vampire), inspired by Roman Polanski's film The Fearless Vampire Killers (Le Bal des vampires).
