Jungle Rot

Jungle Rot is an American Death Metal band formed in 1992 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jungle Rot was formed in 1992 as a side project by Jim Harte and Joe Thomas, members of the thrash metal band Prisoner. The band's name refers to tropical ulcer, a skin infection that occurs in tropical climates. The band recorded its first humorous demo Rip Off Your Face. It was only in 1994, when Matrise took over, that the band became serious and began to take off. The band refined its style and released its second demo Skin the Living in 1995, the year Matrise acknowledges the band started.
