Keep of Kalessin

Keep of Kalessin is a Norwegian black metal, thrash metal band founded in 1994 in Trondheim under the name Ildskjær. The birth of the band is the work of two musicians: Ghash and Obsidian Claw (Arnt O. Gronbech by his real name). Ghash being the band's singer and Obsidian C. the guitarist. They would later be joined by Vyl (Vegar Larsen) on drums and Warach (Øyvind Westrum) on bass. The band's line-up would change several times over the course of its existence according to the different periods of activity that Keep of Kalessin would go through. The music played by this band is more precisely epic black metal, very fast and extreme but also very melodic (brought essentially by the guitar and sometimes by a keyboard) with a few touches of thrash metal on the more recent albums.
