Website
Killing Joke is a British rock band formed in 1979, recognized as one of the most important bands of the post-punk/new wave and gothic rock period of the late 1970s and early 1980s. It strongly influenced bands such as Nirvana, Metallica, Ministry, Soundgarden, Korn, or Fear Factory, all of whom have mentioned being indebted to this band. The only permanent members of the band since its founding are Jaz Coleman (singer and historic leader of the band: keyboards, synthesizers, composition and direction of strings and orchestras) and Geordie Walker (guitarist and backing vocalist). In 1994, Killing Joke released the album Pandemonium, which marked and profoundly and lastingly influenced the industrial metal scene. The album is still today a reference in this musical style.
