Kings X

King's X is an American rock band, from Katy, Texas, blending progressive metal, funk and soul, and vocals influenced by gospel, blues and pop. Their lyrics draw inspiration from religion and self-acceptance. King's X reached 83rd place in VH1's ranking of the 100 greatest hard rock bands. After signing to the Megaforce Records label in 1987, King's X released twelve studio albums, one official live album, and various other independent releases. The most recent album to date, XV, was released on the InsideOut Music label. Early in their career, they took part in many festivals alongside bands like AC/DC.
