Kissin’ Dynamite

Before Kissin' Dynamite, the band's members formed the band Blues Kids in 2002. Until 2007, Blues Kids essentially played blues. They even released two albums: in 2004 with We Go the Way of Rock n Roll, and in 2007 with Blues Kids. In 2007, they decided to change the band's name, and thus change style, because, according to the singer's words in an interview given to the Heavy News site, "they had grown up" and therefore had "other desires." In this same interview, the singer recounts how the band's name was adopted: while they were all sitting together in search of a band name, drummer Andreas Schnitzer's phone rang. The ringtone was the song Kissin' Dynamite by the band AC/DC. That name was chosen for the band's name because it sounded, according to Hannes Braun, "dangerous, powerful and explosive."
