Kittie

Kittie, also stylized KiTTiE, is a Canadian all-female nu metal band, originating from London, Ontario. Fallon Bowman (guitar) and Mercedes Lander (drums), the band's founders, met in 1997 during a gym class. The band was formed afterwards, when Morgan Lander (guitar and vocals), Mercedes's older sister, joined them. They started out playing Nirvana and Silverchair covers, then composed their own songs afterwards. Kittie recorded a few demos and began performing concerts in 1998. The band played at the Call the Office and the Embassy and signed at Canadian Music Week in 1999.
