Kotipelto

This is the solo project of the Stratovarius singer, Timo Kotipelto. He started this project in 2001. He made the single "The Beginning" in 2002. The aim of Kotipelto is similar to the Avantasia project of the Edguy singer, Tobias Sammet. Kotipelto invites musicians and singers from different bands to take part in the album. The first opus, named "Waiting For The Dawn", was released in 2002. It features the following musicians: guitarist Sami Virtanen, guitarist Michael Romeo (Symphony X, Redemption), bassist Jari Kainulainen (Stratovarius), keyboardist Janne Warman (Children Of Bodom, Warmen), guitarist Roland Grapow (ex-Helloween, Masterplan), keyboardist Mikko Harkin (ex-Sonata Arctica) and drummer Mirka Rantanen. In March 2004, the single "Reasons", which contains three songs, went on sale.
