Lacuna Coil

In 1994, in Milan, Lombardy, Andrea Ferro and Marco Coti Zelati founded the band Sleep of Right, and recruited Raffaele Zagaria on guitar, and Michaelangelo on drums. After two demos, Bleeding Souls and Noise of Bolgia, Claudio Leo became the band's second guitarist, and Leonardo Forti replaced Michaelangelo on drums after his departure. The band then asked Cristina Scabbia, a friend, to briefly join the line-up as backing vocals, ultimately making her an official member of Sleep of Right. Shortly after, the band changed its name to Ethereal, and signed with Century Media at the end of 1997.
