Status: Active
Genre: Industrial Metal
Country of origin: France
Formed in: 1999
The band's history begins in 1999, at the instigation of singer Ludovic Giroud and guitarist Hervé Sionnet, who were then working in a more gothic style; they were later joined by bassist Michaël Coracin, with whom they produced a first "demo" album in 2001 in order to begin making themselves known without actually selling it, receiving a rather positive review, then in 2002 the band gained a keyboardist, Stéphane Ballerand. The band's style could then be mainly likened to Industrial Metal, notably that of Rammstein and Fear Factory, but also drew inspiration from Extreme Metal, with bands like Samael or Meshuggah. Malmonde began producing a first album with a more refined sound in 2002, by its own means, which gave them a CD that they used to approach labels.
