Marienbad

Marienbad is a German gothic metal and doom metal band, originating from the state of Thuringia. Their musical style is characterized by a depressing atmosphere, episodic lyrics and subjective narratives as well as rather slow and limited instrumentation. The band was formed in 2010 by Blutkehle. Shortly afterwards, an album was announced. Singer Michael "Blutkehle" Roth recruited Ronny "Yantit" Fimmel (of the band Eisregen), Allen B. Konstanz (The Vision Bleak, Ewigheim) and West (Hämatom), with whom he had played in the band Panzerkreutz. Their first album, Werk 1 - Nachtfall, was released on 27 March 2011 on the Massacre Records label. The album is available in CD and digipack formats, as well as in an English version under the title Opus 1 – Nightfall.
