WebsiteMarty Friedman (real name Martin Adam Friedman), born on December 8, 1962 in Washington, D.C., is an American rock guitarist. He distinguished himself above all in heavy and thrash metal, notably as the lead guitarist of Megadeth. Coming from a Jewish family, Friedman took up the guitar after seeing a concert by his favorite band, Kiss. It was in Hawaii that he formed the band Vixen (which, however, has nothing to do with the band of the same name made up entirely of female musicians). After multiple singer changes and a name change (the band called itself Aloha), it was under the name Hawaii that two albums came out, One Nation Underground and The Native Are Restless. Alongside his collaboration with the band Megadeth, he released 3 solo albums: Scenes (1992), Introduction (1995) and True obsessions (1996).
