Master

Considered one of the creators of death metal, the band takes its origins in Chicago, in 1983, from the ashes of War Cry. After a rapid dissolution of the band, Paul Speckmann formed Death Strike, which recorded a demo titled Fuckin' Death in 1985, before finally adopting the name Master the same year. Despite the influence it had on the metal scene, Master does not enjoy great fame and remains, even now, a relatively underground band. Master stands out for its political lyrics and for a death metal with punk intonations. This band is probably at the origin of the emergence of grindcore, with bands like Terrorizer and Repulsion as well as extreme thrash/death (with Macabre among others).
