Monroe is a Swiss Rock / Hard Rock band formed in 1976 in Basel. The band would score a hit with the track Playing Good Music, appearing on their second and last album, Censored, in 1980. Their eponymous first album, released in 1978, would go out in total obscurity. In 1976, Reto Borer was Monroe's bassist. During the recording of the first album Monroe (1978) in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), there was major friction within the band, after which Borer left and signed a solo recording contract with WEA (he later became known as Bo Katzman).
