Muro is a heavy metal band formed in 1984, in the Vallecas district of Madrid. In its early days, the band went through several line-up changes. The arrival of singer Silverio Solórzano "Sílver" in 85 gave way to the band's classic line-up, which included, along with Sílver himself, guitarist José Manuel Navarro "Largo", bassist Julio Rico "Julito" and drummer Juan Ramón Ruiz "Lapi". Their first album, Acero y Sangre, was recorded live in December 1986, and was the album charged with introducing the speed metal genre in Spain, playing at the country's most important festivals and opening the Spanish scene to major international bands like Motörhead, having a great impact at the national level and making massive tours.
