My Dying Bride

My Dying Bride is a British doom metal band, originally from Bradford. Alongside the bands Anathema and Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride is one of the pioneers of the death/doom metal genre. As of 2014, My Dying Bride had a total of eleven studio albums, three EPs, one demo, one box set, four musical compilations, one live album, and one live CD/DVD. My Dying Bride was formed in June 1990 as a quartet in Bradford (West Yorkshire), England. After a noteworthy start in a typically death metal style (the first demo Towards the Sinister bears witness to this), the band gradually turned toward a style that is at times haunting and terribly moving. With the release of the EP Trinity and the hit track The Thrash of Naked Limbs, the band finally established itself as a must-know of the genre.
