Myrath

Myrath (Arabic: meaning "legacy"), also known under the name X-Tazy, is a Tunisian progressive metal band formed in 2001. Guitarist Malek Ben Arbia (then aged thirteen) created X-Tazy in 2001 with two of his childhood friends: Fahmi Chakroun and Oualid Issaoui, who were each 14 years old. They then recruited Zaher Ben Hamoudia and Tarek Idouani. During the first two years, they played covers of blues, heavy metal and death metal bands. With this new lineup, Myrath went off to play concerts doing only covers (very often tracks by Symphony X, which is their favorite band).
