Mystic Circle

MYSTIC CIRCLE is not one band, but two! The first operated in an excellent-quality symphonic black metal whose culmination was "Infernal Satanic Verses", a monument released in 1999. The second band plays death, sometimes black, sometimes thrash. It was following major line-up changes that occurred at the time of the release of "Damien" in 2002 (notably the departure of the band's main composer) that the Germans gradually redefined their style. The very good "Damien" retained a still very pronounced black side (but "exit" the symphonic), and it is ultimately only on "Open The Gates Of Hell" that MYSTIC CIRCLE definitively carried out its metamorphosis.
