Nanowar

Nanowar of Steel is an Italian comedy rock band, originally from Rome. The name of their band is a distortion of Manowar, the famous heavy metal band. They present a humorous and satirical version of a genre where bands often give the impression, through their music as well as their lyrics, of taking themselves very seriously. The band became known through word of mouth on the Internet. The name of their band later changed, from Nanowar to Nanowar of Steel, to imitate the symphonic heavy speed metal band Rhapsody (now Rhapsody of Fire). They also perform satirical covers of great heavy metal classics: Master of Pizza (parody of Metallica's Master of Puppets), Emerald Fork (Emerald Sword, by Rhapsody of Fire), The Number of the Bitch (The Number of the Beast, by Iron Maiden)...
