Necronomicon (CA)

Necronomicon (also stylized NecronomicoN) is a Canadian death metal band, originally from Montreal, Quebec. The band was formed in 1988 between La Baie and Montreal, Quebec, and at the time consisted of singer and guitarist Rob "The Witch" Tremblay, bassist Catherine and drummer Jean-François Boucher. Shortly after, the band released its first demo, Morbid Ritual. Due to several line-up changes around Tremblay, the release of the following record was delayed to 2006, in the form of an EP The Silver Key, produced by Pierre Rémillard and recorded at Victory Studios. Afterward, the band played at various festivals, such as Milwaukee Metalfest and Montreal Metalfest, and also opened for bands like Mercyful Fate and Cradle of Filth.
