Necrophobic

Necrophobic was formed in 1989 by guitarist David "Blackmoon" Parland and drummer Joakim Sterner. The band's name is taken from a song of the same name on Slayer's third studio album, Reign In Blood. The very first recording is the song Realm of Terror, which was recorded at the Björkhagen leisure center, and released on audio cassette in 1989. The band's first official demo was released in 1990. The band released its first official demo, Slow Asphyxiation, in 1990. Two of the three songs featured on the demo ended up on a compilation released by the Austrian label Witchhunt Records. In addition to Parland and Sterner, singer Stefan Zander also appears on it.
