The band was founded in 1994 by guitarist Steve Minelli. In March of the same year, he and other unnamed members released the first demo titled Grind Revolution in Mass Evolution. In September 1995, singer and guitarist Gary D'Eramo, bassist Klaus Mariani and drummer John Manti joined Steve Minelli. The new line-up recorded the EP Ask in December 1995 and released it in 1996 on the Italian label Lucretia Records. This was followed by a few concerts, and the band supported, among others, Death on their tour across Italy. During this time, the band worked on new material, with the line-up changing again. Drummer John Manti left the band in April 1996 and was replaced by Oinos (ex-Sadist), who only stayed until December of the same year. Gary D'Eramo left the band in March 1997 due to musical differences with the rest of the band.
