Nostradameus

The band was founded on 12 May 1998 by guitarist Jake Fredén and singer and bassist Freddy Persson. Shortly afterward, drummer Gustav Nahlin and guitarist Erik Söderman joined the band. Together, they recorded their first demo on 5 and 6 December 1998. In 1999, the band signed a contract with AFM Records. It then went to the Gain Productions studio in December to record its first album, Words of Nostradameus. Five months later, the album was mixed by Mikko Karmila at Finnvox Studios. The album was released in 2000. Afterward, Nahlin and Söderman left the band. In addition, Persson now decided to focus solely on singing.
