Odyssea was created toward the end of the 90s by guitarist Pier Gonella. The latter began to write pieces and to look for members to form a band called Odyssea. At first, Pier Gonella wanted to create a speed metal album to take advantage of the guitar influences of musicians such as Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen and other artists. He made several demos with different singers. During the auditions, a few collaborations had already been created. Pier recorded the guitar on Steve Vawamas's album, "Athlantis", and later, the guitar and bass on Wild Steel, the solo album of the singer of Shadows of Steel. It was then that Pier met Roberto Tiranti, the singer of Labyrinth. Odyssea's first album, "Tears in floods", went on sale in October 2004.
