Website
The band was formed in 1996 by Sebastian Levermann, Sebastian Grütling and bassist Sebastian Severin under the name Tanzende Aingewaide but was renamed a year later to Orden Ogan. The band's name translates as "The Order of Fear", with on one hand "the order" (translated from German for Orden) and on the other hand "fear" (translated from Celtic for Ogan). The band first released three demos: Into Oblivion in 1997, Anthem to the Darkside in 1998 and Soli Deo Gloria in 1999. It was in 2004 that they self-produced their first album Testimonium A.D., on which one can hear the use of flutes, oboes and other wind instruments. In 2008, they signed a contract with Yonah Records that allowed them to release their second album Vale, the first to be released under a label.

Mascots

Alister Vale

Alister Vale

Another very underrated Metal mascot, omitted by many websites, is none other than Alister Vale of Orden Ogan. He always wears a red bandana covering the lower part of his face; one might think that, with the withered parts you can see, he would be an undead.
