Paganini is a Swiss Heavy Metal band, formed in 1983 in Basel, Basel-City. The band signed with Vertigo Records and released their first album, Weapon of Love, in 1985. The video/single "Berlin by Night" was part of the soundtrack of the German film Alpha City. Paganini recorded five studio albums between 1985 and 2008. The band achieved minor success with Weapon of Love, which they supported by joining Mötley Crüe on their Theatre of Pain tour in 1986. The following 1987 album, It's A Long Way to the Top, reached number six in the Swiss charts. The subsequent albums came out on smaller labels with different line-ups centred around Marc Paganini.
