Patrick Rondat

Patrick Rondat is a French instrumental metal guitarist, in the vein of neoclassical instrumental guitarists such as Yngwie Malmsteen or Tony Macalpine. He began learning guitar in 1978, at the age of 17. The first album containing one of his tracks is the compilation Hard Rock Rendez Vous, which gave him the opportunity to record his first solo album, Just For Fun, in 1989. Patrick Rondat also nurtures a passion for yodeling, the typical singing of the Alps. On the occasion of the Munich Oktoberfest in 1991, he performed a memorable duet with the "jodlkoenig" Franzl Lang. Following the release of his second album, Rape of the Earth, he was spotted by Jean-Michel Jarre, with whom a long collaboration began, during which he was notably able to accompany the latter to the four corners of the world.
