Powerworld is a German melodic power metal band formed in 2005. Known for its melodic hard rock/metal sound, it has released three albums: PowerWorld (2008), Human Parasite (2010) and Cybersteria (2013). The band counts among its members members of other notable bands such as Freedom Call, Threshold and Evidence One. Powerworld was formed by Ilker Ersin, the bassist of Freedom Call, after he initially left that band in 2005. Although rooted in power metal, Powerworld's music also incorporates elements of melodic hard rock, emphasizing melody and less on the speed metal aspects of some other power metal bands.
