Q5 is an American Heavy Metal band formed in 1983 in Seattle, Washington. Q5 was formed in 1983 and operates as a supergroup by mixing members of two popular Seattle bands of the time. Frontman Jonathan K and guitarist Floyd D. Rose of "C.O.R.E." (or "The C.O.R.E.") joined guitarist Floyd D. Rose. (or "The C.O.R.E.") joined guitarist Rick Pierce, bassist Evan Sheeley and drummer Gary Thompson of "TKO". Their first studio album, Steel the Light, released in 1984, was praised by several critics. Q5 signed with PolyGram for their second album, When the Mirror Cracks, released in 1985, but things were already falling apart. Personal differences tore the band apart shortly after the album's release.
