Website
Rebellion is a German power metal band, formed in 2001 by Uwe Lulis, the former guitarist, and Tomi Göttlich, the former bassist of Grave Digger. The band is known for its concept albums, namely the story of Macbeth by William Shakespeare which is the subject of the album "Shakespeare's Macbeth - A Tragedy in Steel", and the story of the Vikings, realized in the trilogy "Sagas of Iceland - The History of the Vikings Volume 1", "Miklagard - The History of the Vikings Volume 2" and "Arise: From Ginnungagap to Ragnarök - The History of the Vikings Volume 3". The album "Born a Rebel" is therefore an exception and deals with various subjects such as war or religion. Although the band remains little known worldwide, it has developed its own style and has become one of the most notable and interesting bands of the genre.
