Refuge

Refuge: a new band freshly signed to Frontiers Records that comes to revisit the Germanic heavy/speed of the late 1980s (or early 1990s)? Yes and no. Yes for the label and the style... No as far as the "new" band is concerned. Peavy Wagner, Manni Schmidt and Christos Efthimiadis are indeed not on their first attempt, since these three companions made up the line-up of the band Rage between 1988 and 1994. They reformed to give a few concerts a short while ago... and then the idea of a new album took shape. But since, for his part, Peavy never stopped leading Rage, this reunion took the name Refuge. And there, it is the festival of the wink or the reference. The chosen name first: a song by the famous trio that appeared on the album The Missing Link (1993). The album title next: Solitary Men... Indeed, on Trapped (1992), there was a composition called Solitary Man.
