Sacramentum

Sacramentum is a Swedish blackened death metal band from Gothenburg. Formed in 1990, Sacramentum split up in 2001. The band was initially formed under the name Tumulus in 1990 in Gothenburg. Their musical style leans toward melodic black and death metal in which the imprint of Dissection is palpable. The first two productions were produced by the French label Adipocere Records, the last two on Century Media Records. The band's first official production dates from 1992; just before the release of their first demo tape, Sedes Impiorum, the band changed its name to Sacramentum.
