Saint Vitus

Saint Vitus, which began its career in the late 1970s, is known for being one of the first doom metal bands. The band was then named Tyrant, but shortly after they changed their name to Saint Vitus. Their main influences come from Black Sabbath as much as Black Flag. With the same members, Saint Vitus recorded two albums (Saint Vitus and Hallow's Victim) and an EP (The Walking Dead). After the release of Walking Dead, Scott Reagers left the band and was replaced by the former frontman of the band The Obsessed, Scott "Wino" Weinrich. Wino recorded three studio albums (Born Too Late, Mournful Cries and a live album) with Saint Vitus. He left the band in 1991 to reform the band The Obsessed. Christian Lindersson (of Count Raven) left his band to lend his voice.
