Salty Dog

Salty Dog only existed for the span of one album, but what an album! Formed in Los Angeles in the mid-80s by Michael Hannon (American Dog, Dangerous Toys...) and Khurt Maier, the line-up was then joined by Jimmi Bleacher and Scott Lane (whom Peter Reveen would later replace). Signed to Geffen, the band produced a splendid album where, mixed with the Heavy Rock characteristic of the L.A. Sound, are influences of Blues and even Funk-Rock. Despite a more than warm welcome, the band did not survive the departure of Jimmi Bleacher. A great loss for Rock. Salty Dog was a fabulous, talented band that played Rock the way it lived and spoke it. God Damn it!
