Savage Circus

Thomen "the Omen" Stauch (born March 11, 1970), drummer of the German metal band Blind Guardian until 2005, is one of the four founders of the young band Savage Circus. In March 2005 he left the band because of the "musical differences" often mentioned, although he stands behind everything he did with BG (Thomen in an interview in EMP (magazine)). Both sides state that they parted as friends. With Piet Sielck (Iron Savior), Jens Carlsson (Persuader) & Emil Norberg (also Persuader) he founded a new band named Savage Circus whose sonorities resemble those cherished by Thomen on the albums Somewhere Far Beyond (1992) & Imaginations from the Other Side (1995) by BG. On August 20, 2007, the band announced that it was parting ways with Thomen, due to concert cancellations because of him.
