Scar Symmetry

Scar Symmetry is a Swedish melodic death band founded in 2004. Scar Symmetry's line-up gradually came together during 2004, until reaching the band's original formation, which released the first demo, the song Seeds of Rebellion. It was thanks to this track that they managed to land a recording contract. In 2005, the band entered the studio to begin recording a first album, Symmetric in Design. In 2006, the band signed with the label Nuclear Blast Records to record the second opus, Pitch Black Progress. In 2008, they composed and recorded the album Holographic Universe. The album charted 65th in Austria and 37th in Finland. At the end of the year, the band announced on its MySpace that it was parting ways with singer Christian Älvestam. In 2009, the band composed a 4th studio album named Dark Matter Dimensions.
