Michael Schenker, born on 10 January 1955 in Sarstedt, is a German musician and guitarist of hard rock and traditional heavy metal. Michael Schenker influenced many guitarists from various metal bands, among whom we can name Dave Mustaine, Kirk Hammett, Randy Rhoads, John Norum, Yngwie Malmsteen[citation needed]. Throughout his career, Schenker shaped a musical style and a playing technique that are entirely his own. The German guitarist even explains that he stopped listening to music very early on so as not to be influenced by others and to follow his own path.
