WebsiteSchwarzer Engel is a German heavy metal and dark metal band founded in 2007 by German musician and singer Dave Jason. Dave Jason founded Schwarzer Engel in 2007. By his own account, the idea came to him after seeing in a dream an "oversized, menacing angel flying over some kind of deserted battlefield." Conceived as a solo project from the start, Jason brought session members Jens Lindmaier (guitar) and Bert Oeler (bass) into the band for live performances.
