Sengir

Sengir is a Belgian Gothic Metal band founded in 1995 in Aalst, East Flanders. The band released two demos from 1996 to 1997 before recording their first album, Guilty Water, in 2003. They would also release Sign of Devotion in 2007 before splitting a year later. A strange and mysterious blend of BLONDIE, THE MISSION and WITHIN TEMPTATION: SENGIR proves single-handedly that Belgium has its say when it comes to Gothic Rock. By choosing in 1996 to bring a female presence to the band's universe, SENGIR gains strength by daring the emotion and beauty of Ellen Schutyser's voice. Forgotten are the growls and other rumblings; the band rises to this challenge and gains depth and mystery with unbeatable choruses and melodies.
