Setherial is a Swedish Brutal Black Metal band formed in 1993 in Sundsvall, Western Norrland. The band was founded in 1993 by Kheeroth, Zathanel, Devothan and Mysteriis. With Kraath and Infernus, they recorded a demo titled A Hail to the Faceless Angels in 1994, followed later by an EP and a split. The first album Nord... came out in March 1996, based mainly on the style of their compatriots Dissection and of the Norwegian band Emperor, and contains overly long songs that can run up to 14 minutes. The album is considered the band's best and constitutes an important release in Swedish black metal. It was mixed by Peter Tägtgren. Lords of the Nightrealm followed in 1998.
