Severe Torture

Severe Torture was founded in 1997 by Thijs (guitar), Patrick (bass) and Seth (drums) and recorded a first demo titled "Baptized in virginal liquid". After that, Dennis joined the band and they recorded "Pray for nothing" (available only on 7-inch) distributed by Damnation records. In 2000, the band signed with the Dutch label Fadeless Records and did a first European tour, which allowed them to gain stage experience and above all to have enough songs to record their first album. The following year, they played as the opening act for Macabre and Broken Hope as well as at the Ohio Death Fest festival. In 2002, they recorded "Misanthropic carnage" and opened for established bands such as Deeds of Flesh and Cannibal Corpse. The band decided to join Earache Records in 2005.
