Silverchair

Silverchair is an Australian rock band from Newcastle. Formed in 1992, the band has a total of five studio albums. Frogstomp, their first opus, with grunge sonorities, appeared in 1995 when they were only 15 years old, followed by Freak Show in 1997, Neon Ballroom in 1999, Diorama in 2002 and Young Modern in 2007. They count more than six million albums sold worldwide. Silverchair's first album, Frogstomp, was recorded in nine days, produced by Kevin Shirley (Lime Spiders, Peter Wells) and released in March 1995. During the recordings, the members were 15 years old and were still in high school.
