Sinergy

Sinergy is a Finnish melodic power metal band, formed in 1999. The idea that was the basis of Sinergy germinated when Dimmu Borgir's then-keyboardist, Kimberly Goss, met In Flames guitarist Jesper Strömblad during a joint world tour. They discussed the idea of creating a female-led metal band, but could not build on this idea because of time constraints. When Kimberly left Dimmu Borgir and moved to Sweden, she decided it was time to realize her project with Strömblad. The first incarnation of Sinergy consisted of them, bassist Sharlee D'Angelo, drummer Ronny Milianowicz and Alexi Laiho (Children Of Bodom), a guitarist still unknown at the time. Their first album Beware the Heavens was recorded in 1999.
