WebsiteSinister is a Dutch death metal band, originating from Schiedam. After the demo Sacramental Carnage, Sinister signed with the German label Nuclear Blast. The band released three albums that were well received. Singer Mike van Mastrigt showed a keen interest in Satanism and the occult; most of the band did not feel connected to it, and after his departure, the band moved away from that lyricism. Instead, bassist Alex Paul wrote most of the lyrics, which are against Christianity.
